Tailoring FCS 490R

I took this class at BYU-Idaho during the Winter 2023 semester. In this course I was taught beginning tailoring techniques, then make a full suit.

Suit Jacket

This Jacket was made for my mother,  I did a lot of pattern alterations so that it would fit her perfectly. Here is a bit of my process.

New Techniques

When I was creating this Jacket I was able to learn some new techniques including: bound buttonholes, double welt pockets, sleeve heads and shoulder pads.

Suit Skirt

For the matching skirt I took a simple pattern and altered it to fit my mother. It features back darts, side zipper, and is fully lined.
